About Fable & Flair

Fable & Flair is a husband-and-wife resale shop built around something pretty simple: we love finding good things, and we hate seeing good things go to waste.

We look for pieces that still have something special to offer — beautiful construction, interesting details, great design, vintage character, or sometimes just that little bit of magic that makes us stop and take a second look.

Our shop is intentionally eclectic. You might find a designer dress next to a vintage jacket, a great pair of boots, an unusual piece of jewelry, or something we couldn't resist even if it doesn't fit neatly into a category.

Everything in Fable & Flair is selected by us, one piece at a time. We're not working from a warehouse of identical inventory. We source, inspect, research, photograph, and describe the individual pieces you see in our shop.

We care about labels and designers, but a name isn't the only thing that makes something worth saving. Quality, craftsmanship, condition, style, history, and sheer interestingness all get a vote.

And because much of what we sell has already lived a life, we believe in being straightforward about condition. We'll tell you what we see, photograph the details, and point out flaws rather than pretending pre-owned means perfect.

Good things belong in closets, not landfills.

There is already an enormous amount of beautifully made clothing, jewelry, shoes, and accessories in the world. Too much of it gets discarded while it still has years — sometimes decades — of life left.

For us, resale is a practical kind of sustainability. Every quality piece we can put into someone else's hands is one more piece kept in circulation and out of a landfill.

We'd rather repair a loose seam, polish a neglected piece of jewelry, or find a new home for a twenty-year-old jacket than see something good thrown away simply because its first owner was finished with it.

Buying secondhand won't solve everything. But keeping well-made things useful for longer is a pretty good place to start.

The next chapter is the best part.

We love the hunt. We love finding something extraordinary for a fraction of what it once cost. And we especially love finding the person who sees what we saw in it.
